Pastor Greg Henard
When I look back at my life, I wonder how God could ever have chosen me to Pastor His Church. I don't see any evidence that I could be called a great man of God. I am not super spiritual, but I love God and his son, Jesus. I am not super religious, but I try to be obedient and faithful to the word, though sometimes I fail. I am not a man that is perfect in extending grace and mercy, though I try because I have been extended perfect grace and shown perfect mercy. I am not a man that has always had a relationship with God, but, I do have one now and I understand how important that relationship is, not only for myself but also for others.
I have many loves in life, I love my God, I love my wife and best friend Susan, I love my family and I love my friends. I love the outdoors, I love to fish, I love to camp and I love to ride horses and back-pack when by back allows.
Years ago I heard John Wimber say, "I don't want to be a GREAT MAN of God, I just want to be God's man." When I heard that, it changed the way I thought and now that has become my goal in life, just to be God's man...I guess you could say, I'm just an average man, serving God the best that I can!
Pastor Susan Henard
I was such a late bloomer. I accepted the Lord in August of 1992. I was forty years old and ever since that day it has been a wild ride with Jesus and I would not trade a minute of it. Jesus radically transformed my life and I am so grateful that He loved me enough to draw me to Him. The Lord has given me such a heart for the church, His people and most of all a heart for the lost, the poor, and the homeless. It is my passion to see the lost saved and to bring hope to those in despair. I am the happiest when I am out on the streets sharing the love of Christ. I oversee our Compassion/Outreach Ministries as well as our Women’s Ministry.
My husband Greg and I were married in 1968 and have two sons, Michael who is married to Cindy and their son, Connor. Our youngest son Steven is married to Melanie and they have two children, Kaitlin and Kody.
In 2005 we were ordained as Senior Pastors of the Tulare Vineyard. We minister as a team just as we have done throughout our marriage. We both love the Lord and it is our privilege to serve Him.
Worship Pastor Steve Walker
One of the things that I love the most about leading worship for the Vineyard is the freedom to allow the Holy Spirit to lead not only the music part of the service, but the overall direction of it. Ever since I have been a part of the worship team here I have found myself very excited with the anticipation of what God is going to do each new week while we corporately worship Him. It is my belief that the role of a worship leader is essentially three-fold. It is 1) to carefully and prayerfully choose the songs each week by which we will all express our praise to the Lord; 2) to work hard to maintain that we the worship band play our instruments for our King both with humility and skill; and, most importantly, 3) to lead by example (in other words: I myself should be worshipping the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength). I think one of the most exciting things about worship is the tremendous blessing that God pours out on me when I approach Him humbly and earnestly, and I love when my fellow worshippers are all together with me in that attitude.
